Hidden Symbols And Meanings In Our Designs February 08, 2016 17:38
Here at Designsbynn the designs we choose for our products are often much more than just pretty patterns. We take our design inspiration from a range of sources, including nature, religious imagery, patterned fabrics, and also from everyday life. In fact, our inspiration comes from everywhere!
We try to incorporate symbols and signs into our products as much as possible, just so that each design has much more meaning depending on the way you choose to interpret our designs. Having this depth of meaning is vital for us in the products we create, and we are always looking for new ideas and inspiration.
By giving someone one of our personalised gifts, you are able to give them something much more meaningful by adapting it to the recipient's personality. All of our products can be personalised to include a name, date, or a choice of colours.
Floral symbols have different meanings in various cultures, and particular species of flowers and plants can have their own special meaning. Most of these meanings can be traced back to folk culture hundreds of years ago. For example the rose represents love, and the daffodil represents springtime and new beginnings. In general, floral symbols bring happiness and joy and so these floral wine and champagne glasses are sure to cheer you up.
The mandala symbol is a sacred symbol from Indian religions which represents the universe and everything in it. It can be interpreted in a variety of ways, and is often used when meditating or spending time in quiet reflection. It can symbolise balance, strength and power, while the circular element represents eternity and everlasting life. This Rainbow Drops candle set is just one example of our many Mandala inspired products.
Of course, we all know that heart symbols represent love, so these gifts are ideal to give to couples, or someone romantically involved in your life. We are in the season for love with Valentine's Day just around the corner, but with the wedding season about to begin then there is still plenty of time to give one of our love heart inspired gifts.
The symbol of the moon is linked in ancient mythology to godesses and femininity. So this Enchanted Moon mug would be the ideal gift to give to the woman in your life. The mug is also adorned with five-pointed stars which are said to represent birth and creation, so perhaps could be given to someone who is about to have a new baby.
